WSIR Event 03/30/11
We were at an event at Willow Springs at the end of March....If you're a Friend on Facebook - you saw the pics. (Click on the Facebook link on the sidebar to get to our FB page)
We were introduced to some new clients, Ken, Jeff & Steve. They rented a couple cars thru us. The blue GS car and a red one. It was a casual event, and we were there for 2 days.
The first day was....interesting. On the way up, we had a blowout on the trailer, and had to limp to the track on only 5 of 6 trailer wheels!! Deep breath....deep breath....WHEW! we made it!
Wednesday, the guys were using the blue GS car, and having fun. There were a couple of small repairs needed on the exhaust, but fortunately we were able to get the welds done on-site. There were a couple small issues, but our crew was great - we worked around them and kept the guys on the track as much as possible. YEAH GYM CREW!!
Lunch went well...HAHAHA
A trip into town for a new tire, mount/balance for the trailer - and the first day was done.
Thursday, went much smoother. Both cars were on the track all day! Ken, Jeff, Steve & their coaches all had a great time. The guys were pushing the cars harder, and there were a couple more "offs" today...had to do some "cleanup" on the rims...
Good weather, great crew, and fun new clients! Got to be at the track for 2 days! What a great job!

OCRC Event July 24
We were there with the number 72 car to test out the new 4-camera system! (it's soo cool!) Chris B came out to help us with the final installation and to make sure all the computer gizmos and hookups were working together. Thanks for all you hard work Chris!
Once things were hooked up, there were some computer checks....(looks like a group effort to look at the computer screen - like they knew what they were looking at...LOL)
Kelly C. was able to take some time during the day to help us get the video footage. He drove the car around for us, and gave us some good data and video! Thanks Kelly!
Sometime during the 1st time out, the car had a mechanical/electrical type of failure...it was an ignition coil of all things! Anyhoo, the guys tried to fix it at the track, but did not have all the parts, so Kelly just had to "drive around it" to finish the shake-down for the car. Good thing he's a professional!! K1 Go-Karting!
The class was full at 30 students...all girls of course...and Craig Stanton was the "lead" instructor. He gave a very informative class session before the gals headed out to try their "skill" on the track.
After one session on the track - they divided the gals into 3 groups - everyone did a track walk. The instructors were great at helping the girls to visualize where they needed to be on the track to setup for each turn, etc.
After a fun evening, there was a wrap up classroom session where the "most improved" got a VERY special gift basket....let's just say it was SUPER funny!! Some last photo-ops and a round of good byes ended the evening...
Can't wait 'till the next one...should be fun

Laguna Seca Pirelli Challenge 5-2010

Saturday was where the drama (well minor drama) kicked in. Clutch issues ALL DAY LONG...we were adjusting the clutch cables, then when that quit working as a "fix" then we moved on to trying to find a special hose....WAY more difficult than you think...finally a used replacement hose showed up....that worked for a while....but it didn't last...

However we were able to make the podium!! We took 3rd place in our race on Saturday!! WTG crew & Good job driving John!

Unfortunately Sunday we had to simply park the car....all our hard work was just not enough to get it back on the track. We needed parts, and Sundays are not the day to look for them. We all got to see the races from other spots than the front straight....that's always fun...and eat lunch before we started to pack things up to head home....
Looking forward to the next race event! Be sure to find us on Facebook for more pictures and updates!

AAA Speedway - Pirelli Cup
We had a small crash (it was more like a big nudge...LOL) and had to do some repairs. A couple of tire changes, a tweak here & there, and an alignment - and John was good to race some more!
It was busy, busy, but it's always a great weekend when you can spend time at the track with friends and family and GOOD FOOD! Burgers on Friday nite, and Korean BBQ on Saturday! YUMMMMMM !!

OCRC Event 01/10/10
We were there just for Saturday, but had to set up all our stuff anyways....Glenn worked on a couple projects on the war-wagon during our down time, and they day went smoothly.
Troy Mullen and his boy rented a customer car for the day, and they really liked the car! They got a full day on the track.... Posted by Glenn Yee Motorsports LLC at 9:26 PM 0 comments

OCRC Event @ El Toro Marine Base 10/2009

We were a little busy...as there were only 3 of us from GYM there. We brought out 2 cars & needed to support those, and then there was another customer car that was brought out by the owner that needed our help as well!! WOW busy, busy for a "test only" weekend...HAHA

Who said track days are boring?!?! The red car was rented out, and fortunately had no major issues! We had to get tires mounted 2x, but the car ran like a champ! The renter loved the setup and wants to get a small group of his friends together and do a semi-private weekend!

Now don't get me wrong, we do get a few minutes to enjoy the track days...Chuck & Glenn got to ride around in the pit cart and "supervise" the track and then we all get some down time to eat lunch....YUM seafood salad (one of G's favorites)

As usual, OCRC did a great event, and everyone that attended had a great time! For more pics of this event, visit us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/glenn-yee-motorsports-llc
Can't wait for the next event!

Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona 2004
What a great experience for the entire team! We had a stellar lineup of drivers; Hugh Plumb (http://www.hughplumb.com/), Kim Wolfkill (www.facebook.com/people/kim-wolfkill/712999712), and Mike Lewis (www.autoconmotorsports.com/driver/driver.php?driverid=3) were along side our team owner running a great race!
Take a peek at some of our photos...as this was our 1st time at Daytona, we all were excited and overwhelmed. Excited to be racing the 24 hour race at Daytona International Speedway, and overwhelmed by the history of the track, the enormity of the event, and well...just plain overwhelmed! HA HA
Hugh was able to get our car into the 1st place (in class) position for a few laps, then the entire track went to RED FLAG conditions in the rain....UGH...lots of coffee and hot chocolate later, and it was back to GREEN FLAG racing.
We were on track with many talented and big name drivers at this event. What was really neat was having Kyle Petty's trailer paddocked right next to our rig! WOW Christine was lucky enough to get a picture taken with him...he's a nice guy.
We finished 22nd overall, and 7th in class!! What a great finish for a rookie team!! Heck, just finishing was a great thing!! The entire team worked fabulously and made our finish a memorable event.

Homestead 2004 - Grand Am Cup
This is Glenn Yee Motorsports at Homestead, FL in 2004 for the Grand American Cup series race. This was our 1st time in Homestead, and with a new construction car too! OMG
Glenn, Mike, Doug, Anthony, and Memo all worked up a sweat in a hurry...but made it go right and got us through tech and out on the track!
We had Hugh Plumb ( http://www.hughplumb.com/) driving with us, and on Saturday he set the unofficial track record during 2nd practice session, & broke the record he just set in the next session!! Then on Sunday, he had fastest time during 1st practice session! WTG Hugh!!
Our crew rallied, got all the replacement parts, and rebuilt the corner of the car. Those guys were AWESOME!
We also had a new P.R. person this race, Lee Hublein (www.facebook.com/people/leeheublein-hsu/609403839). Great gal...great P.R. rep...loves the track...COOL!
Craig Stanton (http://www.craigstanton.com/) stopped by our garage to say hi, and check in with Glenn & Hugh.We always have a great time at the track...even with the drama of crashes, and brake issues!! What a great job...travelling around the country going RACING!

KONI race Miller Motorsports Park UT 09/2008
We had a drive up with our new trailer that was filled with drama! We lost 5th gear on our truck and had to limp in to make the first track day!! We managed to get the truck fixed while there - of course that was a whole bunch more drama - but nevertheless fixed in time for the trip home.
The track is HUGE! We were glad we had our pit cart - we would have never made it anywhere on time...LOL
Our crew is meshing well. All the new guys are working hard to catch up to the established crew guys, and all the personalities are working well together. A good sign is the smiles throughout the weekend and the guys joking with each other.
Our team owner and his co-driver had never driven at Miller, and both were hard at work all weekend learning the best way around all 4.5 miles of track. We didn't podium, but we did drive the car back to the paddock! Sometimes that is just as exciting!
Can't wait for the next opportunity to race there - what a fabulous facility.

Buttonwillow SCCA Enduro Oct. 2007
The red 996 was driven by John Stott and Drew Staveley(www.myspace.com/63363597) . The blue 996 was driven by Nathan Swartzbaugh (http://www.nathanswartzbaugh.com/) and Craig Stanton (http://www.craigstanton.com/). Both of these are customer owned, and both customers were happy to see their cars on the track!
We had a fun time, and fortunately the weather was perfect! Nobody was overheating, and the cars ran great! Before the race started, they had Pit Cart Races! OMG..that was hysterical!! Everyone won that race...FUN for all... :)
We had a couple new crew members working with us, so during our down time, we did a little training and worked at bringing them up to speed. When race time came, everyone was ready...our crew supported the blue 996 and the red 996 was supported by John Stott's crew.
The race started with a Le Mans start, and Craig got to tag Craig to get the show going! We had some competition from an open wheel car, and we were super thrilled that both the cars made the podium!! Glenn Yee Motorsports prepped and maintained cars took 2 of 3 spots on the podium! The open wheel car took 1st, and John & Drew squeaked by us to take 2nd, and Nathan & Craig took 3rd!
