OCRC Event - Saturday

Had a great day at OCRC's event on Saturday....
GREAT weather, YUMMY burgers (that Glenn "slaved" over), and good friends...what a super way to spend a Saturday. We got to meet some new people, and enjoyed the conversations.
Can't wait to see everyone at the next event at the Great Park in Orange County!

OCRC Event 01/10/10

Just attended another OCRC (www.ocracecraft.com) event last weekend! Great weather - a little cool (OK it was pretty cold), but got to get track time before the rains came.
We were there just for Saturday, but had to set up all our stuff anyways....Glenn worked on a couple projects on the war-wagon during our down time, and they day went smoothly.
Troy Mullen and his boy rented a customer car for the day, and they really liked the car! They got a full day on the track....

The car handled well, until they wore out the tires....LOL

Stephan came out and hung out, and Chuck helped out (crewed) for us.

Overall, the day was great! Had fun seeing our friends, and making some new ones. Of course a day at the track beats a day stuck in the office any time!!

OCRC Event @ El Toro Marine Base 10/2009

We were just at another GREAT OCRC (www.ocracecraft.com) event this past weekend. They held the event at the old El Toro Marine Base in Irvine, CA. The weather was SUPER!! Sunny but not hot, with a light breeze throughout the day.

We were a little busy...as there were only 3 of us from GYM there. We brought out 2 cars & needed to support those, and then there was another customer car that was brought out by the owner that needed our help as well!! WOW busy, busy for a "test only" weekend...HAHA

Who said track days are boring?!?! The red car was rented out, and fortunately had no major issues! We had to get tires mounted 2x, but the car ran like a champ! The renter loved the setup and wants to get a small group of his friends together and do a semi-private weekend!

Now don't get me wrong, we do get a few minutes to enjoy the track days...Chuck & Glenn got to ride around in the pit cart and "supervise" the track and then we all get some down time to eat lunch....YUM seafood salad (one of G's favorites)

As usual, OCRC did a great event, and everyone that attended had a great time! For more pics of this event, visit us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/glenn-yee-motorsports-llc

Can't wait for the next event!

Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona 2004

How Exciting!!
We got to race at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona in 2004!!

What a great experience for the entire team! We had a stellar lineup of drivers; Hugh Plumb (http://www.hughplumb.com/), Kim Wolfkill (www.facebook.com/people/kim-wolfkill/712999712), and Mike Lewis (www.autoconmotorsports.com/driver/driver.php?driverid=3) were along side our team owner running a great race!

Take a peek at some of our photos...as this was our 1st time at Daytona, we all were excited and overwhelmed. Excited to be racing the 24 hour race at Daytona International Speedway, and overwhelmed by the history of the track, the enormity of the event, and well...just plain overwhelmed! HA HA

Hugh was able to get our car into the 1st place (in class) position for a few laps, then the entire track went to RED FLAG conditions in the rain....UGH...lots of coffee and hot chocolate later, and it was back to GREEN FLAG racing.

We were on track with many talented and big name drivers at this event. What was really neat was having Kyle Petty's trailer paddocked right next to our rig! WOW Christine was lucky enough to get a picture taken with him...he's a nice guy.

We finished 22nd overall, and 7th in class!! What a great finish for a rookie team!! Heck, just finishing was a great thing!! The entire team worked fabulously and made our finish a memorable event.

Homestead 2004 - Grand Am Cup

I decided to post some "flashback" pictures this time...LOL

This is Glenn Yee Motorsports at Homestead, FL in 2004 for the Grand American Cup series race. This was our 1st time in Homestead, and with a new construction car too! OMG
The guys were all busy as soon as we unloaded the car! They were quickly finishing all the little things so we could go to tech before the racing weekend.
Glenn, Mike, Doug, Anthony, and Memo all worked up a sweat in a hurry...but made it go right and got us through tech and out on the track!

We had Hugh Plumb ( http://www.hughplumb.com/) driving with us, and on Saturday he set the unofficial track record during 2nd practice session, & broke the record he just set in the next session!! Then on Sunday, he had fastest time during 1st practice session! WTG Hugh!!
Our team owner had a small issue, and got caught up with turn 4 on the oval....he gave the car a big "owie"....some road rash, and a bent axle...UGH

Our crew rallied, got all the replacement parts, and rebuilt the corner of the car. Those guys were AWESOME!
Once the car was up & running again, it was time to RACE!!

We also had a new P.R. person this race, Lee Hublein (www.facebook.com/people/leeheublein-hsu/609403839). Great gal...great P.R. rep...loves the track...COOL!

Craig Stanton (http://www.craigstanton.com/) stopped by our garage to say hi, and check in with Glenn & Hugh.

We always have a great time at the track...even with the drama of crashes, and brake issues!! What a great job...travelling around the country going RACING!
